I was not very pleased with her book choice, but she was very adamant, and I did say she could choose whatever book she wanted. (There was a short list to choose from for the free book.) She was attracted to the topic (camping), but the book is much too easy for her. She figured that out in the car when she finished the book in about a minute. She did say she "liked that the book had lots of onomatopoeia in it."
Since each child is allowed to do the program twice and get up to two free books, I told her I'd let her count her free book on her second sheet. I didn't let her use any books that easy the first time. She said she'd go back and get the book I suggested she choose.
