We searched for two other letterboxes but were unsuccessful. We still had a lovely lunch by a lake, though. And we had a few Girl Scout cookies to keep us energized on the way back!
Our prize consisted of a wonderful bag of items, the main one being a family membership to an historic plantation that we had never taken the girls to before. They were having a special cooking demonstration today, so we stopped by and toured the grounds while we were in the area. We watched the cooking demonstrations and fed the farm animals. (I left the camera in the car.) They have many special events throughout the year, so I'm sure we'll use our membership often. There are also a number of letterboxes in that area that we have yet to find, which will make the trip (it's a bit of a drive) especially worthwhile.
Afterward, we popped over to the fairy village trail to see how our house was faring, and to check out all the other houses that we missed last week. We got a few ideas for next time!
