A Full Friday

It was a full day. Amanda got an art award this morning in assembly, for a picture her art teacher entered in a national contest. Then, Caitlyn's class had "Muffins with Mom." She had several gifts for me, including this very cute picture.

Amanda had a Greek Festival at school this morning. The second grade has been studying Ancient Greece and Greek myths recently, so they spent the morning in "togas" participating in Olympic games, making various crafts and other Greek things, and eating some yummy Greek food and desserts. Here she is in her toga. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the full outfit when she was finished.

After school, Amanda headed off to musical rehearsal (the fifth since Sunday), and Caitlyn headed off to spend the night with her Girl Scout troop at an awesome family resort. It's her first time spending the night away from family.

More tomorrow...
