We went to a nearby Highland Games Festival this morning. We saw lots of bagpipers and plaid. They had a little passport program for the kids, so we went to the tables of all the different clans to get a stamp or sticker. The girls also enjoyed watching men in kilts throw trees and pitch bags of straw (I think it was straw) high into the air with pitchforks.
The weather this morning also seemed typically Scottish, but at least the rain held off until we were on our way home.
