Amanda and Caitlyn both got new skates for Christmas (see picture in previous post), and Caitlyn has been wanting to take skating lessons. (Can't you just see her being in roller derby one day?) I called the local roller skating rink, and they happened to have a class starting today. So both girls had their first roller skating lesson this morning.
(Amanda really wants to take ice skating lessons, but since she does have in-line skates and ice lessons are more than double the price, we're opting for this right now.)
They did great! They really didn't fall too much at all - that cruising around my mom's house in their skates paid off. =)

I took ice skating in college (twice) and it is really fun, but she should be able to learn a LOT of basics that will transfer with in-line skating lessons to start. Such fun!
