Back to School

Eliza has definitely been the most excited of the three about starting school. I'm not sure she has a clear idea of what to expect from Kindergarten, but she's very excited to be where her sisters are all day.  She didn't even want me to drive them this morning or take her to class, since she has been anticipating the day when she gets to carpool and her sisters drop her off at her classroom. (We're fortunate to carpool again this year with the same family with whom we have carpooled since Amanda started kindergarten at this school.)
Yesterday, Eliza woke up and sat snuggling with me, and she commented on how it was her last day at home with Mommy. That had me a little teary, but then I had to laugh as she assured me that she knew all about the morning before-school routines, which of course ended with, "and then we run out the door!"

Eliza had to wear her special kindergarten t-shirt today, which was a little disappointing. She and Amanda had big plans to match on the first day. (Caitlyn doesn't like to match Amanda. She definitely prefers her own look.) I'll try to get a picture tomorrow, too, when they can all wear uniform clothes.
