The ice rink where Amanda takes lessons had a free public skating session this morning, so we all dug out our gloves and jackets and went to skate. I was also able to sign up Eliza and Caitlyn for a free lesson before the public session. Both Eliza and Caitlyn did very well. Eliza had never been on the ice before, and Caitlyn hadn't gone since she was little. Caitlyn was soon zipping around the ice with Amanda and a friend. It wasn't nearly as crowded as I had expected, considering the skating and skate rentals were free, so that was nice. Grandpa Steve came along to watch, and Chad and I took turns skating with the girls.
