Saturday in the City

The new bank in town sponsored a big community cultural celebration on Saturday, and we took advantage of several of the things they were offering, including free tickets to the children's science museum and to a humorous production of Cinderella at the children's theatre. Grandpa Steve joined us for the day, and he enjoyed seeing a bit more of the city.

It was a cold morning, though it did warm up a bit when the sun came out...

Looking wasn't good enough - my dear children actually asked if they could HOLD the Madagascar hissing cockroaches in the rainforest at the science museum...

At the theatre...

On the trolley...

We also rode a stagecoach, and the girls got to take a simulated pony express ride before taking a quiz for free stuffed horses, which were, of course, a huge hit...
