I don't think they have a name, other than Big Rock, but they are unusually large granite rocks, located in the middle of what is now suburbia, within earshot of a major freeway. If we hadn't read about them, there is nothing nearby to indicate that they are there.
They are pretty cool, though, and obviously extremely old. They have strange holes and indentations that seem to indicate (to me, at least) that they were moved there at some point. The girls had fun crawling on, in, and through them.
Here is a pretty cool tree that grew around and over them.
We also found a letterbox that was hidden nearby.
Earlier this week, I went with the third grade on a trip to see Slim Goodbody. Remember him?
