Amanda and Caitlyn both went to Girl Scout camp for three days last week. It was a horse camp.
Some pictures that the girls took -
(Amanda with a friend from their troop who was also there for horse camp.)
They had a great time with the horses and persevered through some rain. They were both thoroughly exhausted, though, and quickly fell asleep on the way home.
The camp was a few hours away, so Eliza and I stayed in the area for the two nights, instead of driving all the way home and then back again. Chad had to work, unfortunately, so he couldn't come with us.
Staying in the hotel may just be the highlight of Eliza's summer. She thought that being able to watch television from her bed was just marvelous. She got pool time alone with Mommy. And the hotel had scrumptious Belgian waffles for breakfast. Eliza talked about the waffles all day - she couldn't wait to go back the second morning to eat her own whole waffle.
Eliza and I also did some hiking and playing while we were there. (It was hard to get her away from the hotel, though!)

What a treat for you and Eliza! I would love to have a few days at a hotel with each of my children.
Yes, it was quite a treat for me too!
