We don't plan to do much traveling this summer, and the girls would really like to do a lot of swimming, so we decided to join the Y. Our local Y has no joining fee and they don't require a yearly commitment, so we joined just for the summer.
Today, Chad went with us, and he helped Amanda with her swimming. She took her green band test and passed! That means she can go anywhere in the pool without a parent or a life jacket, including down the slide in the deep end. (There are smaller slides that everyone can go down in the 3 foot end of the pool.)

C is currently in the midst of trying to achieve his band as well...it has been a good lesson in practice and perseverance...for both of us :)

Staci, I must say that I'm quite thankful that Chad is a much better swim instructor than me. We just need to get him to the pool more often! Caitlyn is still working on her yellow band, so that's next on the list.
