We were excited to see that Caitlyn's kindergarten teacher, like Amanda's when she moved to her current school, reads and encourages her class to memorize the Chicken Soup With Rice poems every month. We have continued to have chicken soup with rice on the first of every month, most of the time. We did take a break over the summer, since I just couldn't bring myself to make soup in the hot weather, but we returned to the tradition on Wednesday, to kick off September. (Despite the fact that it was still over 90 degrees that day.)
