We discovered another wonderful place yesterday on our letterboxing adventures. It was a park/nature preserve with a nature center and many wonderful trails. It was a little further away than we would normally go for a park/playground, but I hadn't realized that it was much more than a regular park. The nature center had animals, many alive, some stuffed, and we were able to watch as one of the snakes downed a mouse for breakfast.
They had Naturalist dress-up items for the girls to put on, and several stations where they could do some investigating.
We'll definitely be heading back to this place. They also have some wonderful preschool and homeschool programs that we can do throughout the year, and opportunities for family hikes and other hand-on programs we can do together.
(This letterbox was a little too dirty for Caitlyn's liking.)
