(Caitlyn offered use of her bed for the birthday breakfast.)
This is Eliza up in morning assembly to be recognized for her birthday. (They are allowed to bring friends for "support," so she asked her sisters to go with her. Not that she isn't totally comfortable in front of the whole school.) It was a jeans day and the last day before Christmas break, which made it extra-fun.
Eliza decided she didn't mind traveling to Grandma's on her birthday, since her sacrifice would mean they got the WHOLE next day to play. Instead of trying to plan a party during the crazy last week before break, we had a little surprise party at a local bakery after school the day before her birthday. I had the people we carpool with drop the girls at the bakery, where I and a couple of Eliza's friends were waiting to have cupcakes. It was a nice, low-key celebration and she was totally surprised.
We love you, Eliza!
You are our super-sweet
sometimes sassy
loves to snuggle
forever singing
daughter and sister supreme!
