She had the customary breakfast in bed, with gifts and a balloon. She got to go up in assembly for her birthday, and a friend at school told me her sisters went up with her (they are allowed to have friends go for "support"), and it was very sweet.
After school, her neighborhood friends (who hadn't started school yet) surprised her with a cake and cupcake and brought her presents. It was very nice.
She wanted to go out for wings and pizza for dinner, so we did that, too. It was a pretty low-key birthday, but I think she felt loved.
