We are very thankful to have a good report from the dentist today. Amanda's teeth are still loose and very painful, but there are no breaks or cracks and the dentist said the blood flow is good. She'll have to eat soft food for the next 7-10 days until they firm back up, but there shouldn't be any permanent damage. Yay!

Does soft food = candy?
If so, she's got impeccable timing.
Not really. I've actually been restricting her sugar a little more than usual, since her teeth and gums are too sore to brush very well. But I expect she'll make up for lost time once she's feeling better.
I remember when First Daughter fell and knocked a tooth loose. We were so nervous for the first few weeks, but she was fine and still has that tooth! Hopefully Amanda will feel better soon.
You could let her have some chocolate milk with a straw. It's supposed to protect the front teeth.
Yes, she's been drinking everything with a straw. (She actually doesn't like chocolate milk!)
She could finally drink from a cup this morning, though, since the swelling has gone down and her teeth aren't so sensitive anymore.
Doesn't like chocolate milk? That's just crazy!
How about chocolate milkshake?
Chad commented last night at dinner that though her teeth are feeling better, she should probably avoid hot and cold drinks. Well, Amanda quickly reminded him that she doesn't like ANY hot drinks (no hot chocolate), and really doesn't like very cold drinks either. Now she will certainly drink milkshakes, though chocolate would be at the bottom of the list. She has actually become very fond of my jamocha shakes, though. She loves the smell of coffee beans, and I think she'll be a coffee drinker someday, though maybe only iced coffee. =)
She does really like chocolate, just not in drink form for some reason.
