This is the first year we have carved a pumpkin with the girls. We have a nifty metal cat set that we usually stick in our pumpkins, but Amanda has been asking this year to actually carve one.
I did pick up this plastic princess pumpkin set on clearance last year, though, so we used it on Caitlyn's little pumpkin she picked last week on the field trip.
The pumpkin wasn't big enough to put on the shoes that go with the set, but it's still cute.
Here's Chad and the girls cleaning out and carving the pumpkin...
Eliza was not at all interested in sticking her hand inside the pumpkin. She was content to hold the bowl for the seeds. We asked her why she didn't want to stick her hand in the pumpkin, and she said she didn't want a slimy snake to bite it!
The artists in the family, contemplating the masterpiece.
I thought this was a neat picture. The light inside the pumpkin is only the reflection of the sun.
I also don't know if you can tell, but we carved it with teeth missing in the same places as Amanda and Caitlyn!
