Florida

My aunt came came down to visit and then the girls and I drove down to Florida with her to stay with a dear family friend for several days. It was a wonderful break. The day we drove down to Florida happened to be Cow Appreciation Day at CFA, so we all dressed in our cow apparel for the trip.

The girls with Aunt Kay - 

Kathy has a pool and lives about a mile from the beach, so the girls, especially Eliza, were excited about the swimming. 

Some friends of Kay and Kathy run a riverboat tour along a nearby river, so we spent one afternoon cruising the "jungles" of Florida. It was the last day of their season, since many of the animals they normally see are not active this time of year. We were still fortunate to see two alligators and several birds and turtles, though. 

We also went one day and drove along the rest of Jupiter Island. We stopped at the Blowing Rocks nature preserve and then went down to the Jupiter Island Lighthouse. The girls were excited to watch the drawbridges, too.
