The fifth grade has been learning about the Revolutionary War for over a month now. Each child had to pick a notable person from the war to research, and then this week they had to present their poster, recite a 3-5 minute memorized speech about their person, and come dressed as their person to Revolutionary War night, where they walked the red carpet, gave their speech again, and answered questions about their person to people walking around.
Amanda was Sybil Ludington, the "female Paul Revere," who rode over 40 miles on horseback, in the rain, to rally her father's troops.
