October Wrap-Up

We indulged in all kinds of fall fun and several festivals during October, but I opted to leave the camera behind for many of them. This is a good representative sampling, though.

The girls had the day off of school, so we set out for Big Rocks, where we found a new letterbox that had been planted since the last time we were there.

One of the festivals we went to was a small local arts festival. They had an art contest for kids, so the girls all drew an animal for the contest. Caitlyn's picture was chosen for her age group! There was one grand prize chosen and three honorable mentions. Her picture was on display at the Arts Council for several weeks, which was pretty cool.

We went to several bonfires/campfires this fall with different groups of friends. This is one we had in our backyard -

Amanda went on a three-day trip with the rest of the fifth grade to an outdoor education camp. They had a lot of fun, and she took many pictures of the beautiful mountain foliage. Here's a shot I took before she left -

Amanda's trip was over Halloween, so only the other two went trick-or-treating this year.
