OM Trip

We took the whole family to Michigan for the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals. It worked out well, since we were able to stop and see my family on the way there and back.

Amanda stayed with the team on the Michigan State campus, but the rest of us camped nearby.

 The campus had a nice museum with some neat natural history and American history exhibits. They also had a special communications exhibit where the girls were able to use a typewriter.

Here is a shot of the stadium at the awards ceremony. Crazy, huh? Our team placed 20th out of 55 teams in our problem/division. Not too bad for the school's first year of competition.

We decided to take a little detour on the way home so the girls could see Lake Erie. We found a little town off the highway where we could drive right up to the shore.
