Q+U Wedding

Yes, I woke the girls up a little early so they could watch the royal wedding. I got up when Chad left for work, so I saw most of the ceremony. I woke the girls up so they could watch the walk down the aisle and the carriage ride to Buckingham Palace. They were so delighted to see it, and I hope they remember it.
Of course, Caitlyn thought the palace guards looked like the witch's guards from The Wizard of OZ, so she was singing the O-E-O song all day. =)

To coincide with the royal wedding, the kindergarten classes scheduled their own special wedding today. They usually do this in the fall, but they changed it this year, and it was perfect.

The boys and girls all got dressed up and went to the gym for the wedding. Caitlyn's teacher is married to another teacher at her school, so they played the roles of Q and U for the ceremony, and it was officiated by the Dean of the primary (K-2) wing.

I don't know if you can read this or not (maybe if you click on it), but it's very cute...

The girls all wore veils and carried flowers. The children all got to blow bubbles after vows, before heading back to their classrooms to open gifts and have refreshments.

All the children were to bring in a "gift" from home that began with the letter Q or U. (They got to bring them back home.) Caitlyn brought in her quilt and a unicorn.

(Sorry, I know the pictures aren't the greatest. My camera really doesn't like the lighting in the school.)
